With a design approach that is organic, thoughtful, and resulting in spaces that are unique, Nyla pulled inspiration from a space close to her heart - her grandparents' porch. It's here that she builds her vision of miximalism where pattern, texture, memory, and modernity intertwine.
The Garden Conservatory is designed to foster both stillness and connection, embracing miximalism through an elevated, modern lens of eclecticism. The design concept draws inspiration from the nostalgic warmth and cherished memories of Nyla's grandparents' porch, reimagined and modernized for contemporary living, while preserving natural light, and layered patterns and textures that made the original room so special.
The space celebrates a multitude of purposes, seamlessly accommodating creative pursuits, quiet moments, and social gatherings. It's fluid connection to the outdoors extends the home, blurring the lines between indoor and outdoor spaces and creating a harmonious flow between the main house and it's natural surroundings.
With its nostalgic roots and forward-thinking design, the Garden Conservatory is a space where past and present meet in harmony — and where everyday moments are made just a little more beautiful.
"Overall, the feeling I wanted to convey was one of just celebrating that sense of community, pattern, warmth, and of course, the flood of light that would come in through the many windows of the space."
